World Party Day-3rd April: Party hard but make sure that your health is also important to party harder


‘Party’, he word itself brings joy to our eyes and senses. We all wait for some party time, where we can let loose and enjoy – dance, drink and eat. There is a common saying – ‘work hard, play harder and party hardest’. Partying is not as dangerous as people have made it sound. The fact is that doing it in moderation has numerous health benefits too. It helps you socialize, stay active, relief stress and tensions, gets you involved and more. It makes us happy and happiness is health.

Whatever said and done, there are some things that cannot be removed from a party. These are drinks, music and food. Now, that when you have all the three, there are full probabilities that you let yourself loose and drown yourself in drinks and merry with food. And off course, to a certain aspect smoke too.

This is why the world celebrates “World Party Dy” every year on the 3rd of April. It is designated to celebrate happiness and make this a better and happier place to live. It is an initiative to create a better reality by ensuring better opportunities in celebrating life and happiness. An event solely dedicated to human and its joy of celebrations.

Never to mention, party does loads of good to all of us, but at the same time it brings a lot of challenges that we all face after the party is over and particularly the following few days where we feel sick and deprived as what we call hangover and overindulgence.

What can be done now?

Well! The only answer is detox and detox, but how? Let’s understand how to get back to track after a party with detox and get ready for the next big party.

  • Diffuse the bloat with potassium

Potassium helps get rid of the after puff, as the mineral helps cutting the adverse effects of sodium that we have consumed. The morning after, fill up with potassium rich foods like spinach with your omelette in breakfast along with some melons and bananas. Have a bean and beet salad for lunch and some baked sweet potatoes for dinner.

  • Fill yourself with as much fluid as you can

Hydration is essential and especially with all the alcohol in your tummy of the previous night. Water helps flush out all the toxins and salt from the body. It aids in digestion and helps you deflate. When it is about water, the more is better, and hence keep sipping.

  • Make it smooth with a smoothie

Swap a meal with a healthy smoothie. Green smoothies are the best of options for after party detox. It has all – vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. The fibre keeps you full and not allowing you to feel hungry and the potassium helps get rid of the salt.

  • Cut back all the salt

You already have enough in your system from the previous treat. Moreover, salt will hold back the water in the body keeping you feel bloated always. Get more of fruits, vegetables, yoghurt and nuts to keep you bloat free and satisfied for atleast the next few days.

Partying is good, but we all need to ensure that we party hard yet healthily. Taking care of our health especially after parties is essential to bring life back to track and live happily. Follow these easy yet effective after party essentials and keep partying.
