All these models came up with a multi-touch screen. They all feature multi-touch display. The screen size is 10.1 inch in all the models. The first three generation had a screen resolution of 1200X800 pixels but later ASUS increased it for the latter two models up to 2560X1600 pixels. All models support LED backlight technology.
Other input devices include –
- Docking Keyboard: It is a fully functional QWERTY keypad. Moreover, it features trackpads, USB ports. SD card reader and additional battery to increase performance.
- GPS Receiver
- Ambient light sensors; and
- 3-axis accelerometer gyroscope.
The previous three models have a 1 GB memory along with 16GB or 32GB storage capacity but the later two comes with 2GB memory along with full-size SD slot of 32/64GB version. The CPU is built with Cortex Nvidia Tegra chipset technology. It is designed to get the fastest performance.
Coming into the camera section, ASUS has provided a fairly good camera considering the price range. Transformer Pads have two cameras, one in front and another one in the back. The front camera has a quite low resolution though.
As ASUS built their transformer pad to work as a pad and netbook simultaneously so they have provided almost all available connectivity facilities. The pads support-

- Micro HDMI
- Wi-fi 802.11 b/g/n
- Dock 1X 2 USB ports; and
ASUS vigorously focused on the portability of the devices. So, they focused on minimizing the weight as much as possible. All the models weigh between 530g to 650g which is fairly balanced and does not hinder portability. ASUS hasn’t compromised with the performance to lessen the weight.
They use Li-polymer battery as the source of power with an average battery life of 9.5-12 hours that increases slightly with the dock keyboard.
It has been already mentioned that these transformer pads run on Google Android Operating system. They support from 4.1.1 to 4.2.1 Jelly Bean version in accordance with their release date respectively.
Though ASUS has facilitated their transformer pads with high specifications and stunning design, their price tag is surprisingly budget-friendly.
